I woke up to a light dusting of snow on my car this morning. There’s no doubt winter is coming whether we like it or not. Forecasters are predicting a cold and snowy winter on the Prairies. Can’t say I’m surprised. It’s Manitoba, Canada after all. What do people expect?
So of course the change in weather means it’s time to put away the summer clothes and haul out the winter gear. This means sandals are out and boots are in. Happy Wednesday and stay warm!

I went out to Selkirk this morning and the fields along the highway were covered in a layer of snow. Gross.
Hi Teresa: Your post is quite timely! We were in Fargo, ND over the past few days and one of the top things on my list was … boots! I did find a lovely pair and got a terrific deal, so I’m ready for whatever the weather will bring.
We had a very light coating of white this morning in Matlock, MB. Hopefully, the heavy stuff will not come for a long while.
Thanks for reading and commenting, Doreen! Yes, I too hope the heavy white stuff holds off for a long time.
