Denim dresses are in. Walking through the mall recently, almost every women’s clothing store I entered had some kind of denim dress on the racks. I’ve been on the hunt for one for awhile. I love denim and I love dresses – so it’s a natural fit for me!
I settled on this denim dress (pictured below) found at Banana Republic. There were a few things that drew me to it: I like the four large pockets, the rolled up three-quarter length sleeves and it’s super comfy and light. It was also available in petite sizes. Banana Republic now has a Petite line of clothing for smaller women and I often find clothes there that fit especially pants that are shorter in length.
Denim dresses are also very versatile. Below you can see that I can pair the dress with a variety of shoes from booties to sandals – even cowboy boots. Don’t forget some simple jewellery to give it some colour. I chose my favourite turquoise colour and accessorized it with a necklace, bracelet and handbag. Finally, there’s the belt. This dress came with a piece to tie around the waist which works well. Or you can remove it and try a chunky belt as I’ve done below. A belt defines the waist on a dress like this. Note: I bought this belt in Mexico – it was handmade there.
What do you think? How would you wear your denim dress?
This is an amazing dress and all 3 ways look amazing on you. Great find!
