In honour of Halloween and sweet treats, today I’m sharing a sinfully delicious recipe called Caramelitas. The combination of chocolate and caramel is oh-so-good! Make sure you have a mug of coffee or tall glass of milk to go with this. Happy Halloween!
Caramelitas
Melt together in the microwave or on the stove:
46 caramels
6 tbsps cream or milk

Combine: 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup melted butter

Press about half of the oatmeal mixture in a 9 by 13 pan and bake 7 minutes at 350 F.

Remove from oven and pour on caramel mixture.

Sprinkle on: 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts

Sprinkle on remaining crumbs. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350 F.

These look really good! I think my husband would love them.I’m always looking for new dainty recipes and this is one that would work perfectly for teas and such.
Thanks Karli! Yes, they are delish. I’ll be waiting for my invitation to tea! 🙂

Oh. My. Goodness!! I’m stealing this recipe, too! I think my neighbors will be happy with all of the different goodies I plan to put in their Christmas boxes this year.
