Recipe: Caramelitas

In honour of Halloween and sweet treats, today I’m sharing a sinfully delicious recipe called Caramelitas. The combination of chocolate and caramel is oh-so-good! Make sure you have a mug of coffee or tall glass of milk to go with this. Happy Halloween!


Melt together in the microwave or on the stove:

46 caramels
6 tbsps cream or milk

Melted caramels.


Combine: 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 tsp. baking soda, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup melted butter 

Oatmeal mixture.


Press about half of the oatmeal mixture in a 9 by 13 pan and bake 7 minutes at 350 F.

Oatmeal mixture pressed into the pan.

Remove from oven and pour on caramel mixture.

Caramel layer.

Sprinkle on: 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts

Throw on some chocolate chips.
Now some nuts. I used pecans.

Sprinkle on remaining crumbs. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350 F.

More crumbs.
Ooey gooey good Caramelitas.

  1. These look really good! I think my husband would love them.I’m always looking for new dainty recipes and this is one that would work perfectly for teas and such.
